The River Thames is not only one of the largest rivers in England, but it is also known for being a popular tourist destination. With City Cruises Thames River Pass, you can hit most of London’s popular landmarks and attractions in just one day! With its convenient port locations, close proximity to popular attractions, and entertaining commentary, I can confidently recommend this Thames river cruise!
To start with, City Cruises departs at Tower Pier, Westminster Pier, London Eye Pier, and Greenwich Pier. All of these locations are super easy to find and convenient, for they are near the most popular and iconic attractions. For instance, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge are within only 5 minutes walking distance from the pier. Also, Smartsave offers discounted tickets to Tower Bridge! Since one of the stops was right next to the famous landmark, I had the outstanding opportunity to visit the Tower Bridge exhibits and even walk across the infamous glass floor!
Another feature that I liked about City Cruises Thames River Cruise are the amazing locations you can visit. Not only do you get to see the mainstream locations such as the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, but they also take you to Greenwich! This laid-back neighbourhood is only a short hop from Central London and was one of my all-time favourite destinations. On the river journey to Greenwich, the boat passed by Canary Wharf. Definitely keep your eye out, for this area of London has some of the coolest architecture I have seen. Once arriving at Greenwich, I recommend visiting the market. The food here was so delicious and there was a great variety of different types of food to eat! If you have time during the day, I also highly recommend walking up to the Royal Observatory where the Prime Meridian line is located. You can also get great views of the city from here! On the way back to the cruise, be sure to pass by the Cutty Sark which is a famous and historic ship from the nineteenth century.
While on the Thames river cruise, there was never a dull moment. The crew gives a comedic live commentary which left the passengers and I laughing throughout the tour. This made the journey entertaining and lively.
Lastly, the boats have small cafes on board where you can enjoy drinks, ice cream, snacks, and more! I saw many people enjoying ice cream pops while sitting on the top deck of the boat. It is quite refreshing!
All in all, I 10/10 recommend City Cruises Hop On Hop Off boat tour. With its great locations, entertaining commentary, and convenience, I can confidently say I enjoyed my experience.
